Police encourage e-scooter and e-bike owners to help protect against opportunistic thefts

“Police are receiving increased reports of e-scooter and e-bike thefts in the city and Fortitude Valley and are reminding everyone of some simple steps to help stop opportunistic thefts.

There are also a few things you can do to help identify your property, should you ever need to prove ownership in future.

• Take note of your scooter or bicycle serial number if it has one and record it somewhere safe.

• If it does have a serial number, you can also attend your local police station and have it recorded on the police database.”
